AEM's new 2.0T Cold Air Intake is one that you will definitely feel an increase with! Constructed of lightweight aircraft quality aluminum and TIG welded the new AEM 2.0T intake performs. A recent dyno test on a 2.0T DSG Audi A3 showed an 18hp and 24 ft lb!

an intake for 400 bucks? nah.

If you were to take a look at other intakes on the market for the 2.0T, you would see that this price is actually not bad, considering most intakes are not true cold airs that place the filter in the fender.

Short Ram Intakes:

EVOMS - $299.00
Neuspeed - $199.99

Cold Air:
Neuspeed Cold Air Extension - $159.99 (for a total of $359.98 for the complete cold air system)
EIP - $249.99 (extension off of factory engine cover)

Given that the majority of the systems out there are either: not cold air intakes, require additions to make them cold airs, or do not replace the entire factory intake system, it is pretty easy to see why this intake is priced as such. No one else is selling a true cold air intake as one kit... until now.

The evoMS is a good intake too... I'm not going to deny that. This is just another intake from another manufacturer. This intake puts the filter in the fender where there is really no chance of getting hot air.

Guys, the General Classifieds posting rules apply to the Sponsors Classifieds forum as well.

Please don't chime in with random comments about how you think an item is overpriced. The market will take care of itself if that's the case. This applies to private sales, as well as commercial sales from vendors. Thanks.

We were able to obtain the dynos that AEM includes with all of these intakes. Below are their corrected dynos for HP and Torque gains.

AEM's Dynamometer Testing Procedure (as explained on this sheet):

"AEM performs dynamometer testing on a Mustang Dyno, model MDSP 7000. Three power pulls are performed on our dynamometer; horsepower and torque are recorded each time. The raw data of the three pulls is then corrected to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) standard correction factor. The corrected values are averaged and graphed to rpm."

Hopefully this helps those of you who were looking for stock dynos. As you can see, the power gains on the stock motor are still substantial, with a peak gain of 14.4HP and 13.3 ft./lb. of torque.

We will be able to get the EIP once they get another production run on those. We should be getting more information, including pricing, once they have a better idea of when that run will take place. Unfortunately as of right now I do not have any information on their intake, but keep checking back.
