Original Windshield fluid? what is it?

I got my GTI three weeks ago.
I am still using the windshield washer that came with the car.
The smells is very pleasant, I have to say.
I went to the dealership to buy more of the same windshield washer fluid.
I was told that that is a "special one" - just for new cars and that VW doesn't sell it. They don't even know what kind it is

Does anyone know what make is the windshield washer that comes with the car?

the smell is pleasant? lol you are crazy...it smells like freaking ass...do you know how long that has been just sitting in the lil container...

Mine smells nice. Like windex...kinda. You guys that have the fluid that smells, got screwd. My dealership said they fill it up when ever you come in for service.

Lol a saleslady told me during my test drive that the windshield washer was so safe even animals can drink it if I ever spill it on the ground. I had my doubts about the GTI but when she told me that I was sold!

Ahh memories.

Great...my 1,000 post is me laughing at the thought of small creatures drinking the washer fluid from the masive amounts used to clean the headlights.

I wondered about that, and my passengers noticed too... the fluid I had when the car was new smelled great.

You can try the BMW trick.

One part isopropl alchohol to 2-3 parts water. It's a lot more expensive than that crappy blue stuff, but it doesn't stain the parts under the hood.
