Hi all,
As I took my GTI in to get some very monor issues sorted such as a squeaky power window, a small vibration insode and a number plate light out, I was given a courtest car to use. From looking at the website, I think i got the comfortline 2.0 TDi with DSG.
Its funny how there are so many subtle differences between the GTI and this car, but all in all the car still felt great to drive and didn't feel worlds apart interior wise.
I must say though that the torque of this engine was great! Fuel comsumption was good and the handling really didn't feel worlds apart from the GTI.
One thing manufacturers haven't been able to do is tone down that clangy diesel sound on idle and take-off. It sounds like a van from the 80's still! Once on cruise though, you can't tell it's a diesel.
