MkV GTI vs Skoda Octavia vRS

In the UK this would spark quite a discussion but perhaps not in the USA as I'm not sure if you would have come accross one before. Essentially the same running gear and similar in size to the Jetta althought it's a hatchback.

I dont know much about Skoda (except that its parent company is VW) I must say, the Skoda looks nice! How's the performace on the Octavia? Hmm I guess its time I watch Top Gear

The Skoda Octavia RS is using the same 2.0 TFSI engine as the GTI , which makes that it accelerates from 0-60 mph only 0.1 seconds slower then the GTI.

We get similar performance to the GTi in a bigger car for a whole lot less money. Some people do find a stigma attached to the Skoda badge though.
