Speaker set different on 3 or 5 door?

Is the speaker setup different on the 5 door than the 3 door? Since i will be getting the 5 door I want to see if it can fit a 3way component speaker setup in the front doors. Since the front doors are shorter on the 5 door the imaging might be ok using 3way.
Or does 5 door dont even have 2 speakers in the door? I dont remember:confused:

does that mean the 8" speaker is placed closer to the front for better imaging than the 3 door?
If it is would a 3 way work well in this case?

yes its further forward but for imaging pathlength is king and really there far too close to you for imaging. As the difference in the pathlength of the speakers to your ears is too great.

One of the reasons I do not like the set up in the doors from the factory. I am still trying to figure out what to do.

Never been real fond of kick panels.....they never really look like they belong. Thant's just me though. I know they give you a much better sound stage but in most cars they just look out of place.
