tracks that allow my own car near NYC?

Hello all,
Does anybody know about tracks in the NY metro area that allow people to do laps in their own cars?
My bro and Dad have Bimmers, my GTI and friend has a Civic Si. We'd like to have some fun in more of a race setting.
costs? safety requirements?

Join an organization like NASA, SCCA, BMWCCA, or sign up for a track day with a group like EMRA.

The closest ones to NYC are Pocono, Lime Rock & the new Thunderbolt Raceway in NJ near Philly.

Know that you MUST have a helmet if you want to go to a track day and drive your car. Expect to pay a few hundred dollars for one that is Snell certified.
