I came across this thread on VWVortex and it left me confused. I'm new to VWs so I'm not sure what exactly this guy is talking about. From what I can tell it sounds like he did a bunch of stuff through the computer to 'unlock' euro settings?
The R32 tails he's talking about, are they actual tail lights from an R32 or did he just tweek the settings in the computer to make them work like the R32? Do you need the euro headlamp switch for the rear fogs to work?

I would have asked over there, but you guys are far less hostile. :thumbup:

You have to use Vag-Com (or 5051/52 diagnostic computer) to adjust the factory ECU settings. It's really "euro" per se, it's just different variables built into the stock computer. Practically everything is tied into the ECU nowadays, not just the engine. Luckily we have some good VW hackers out there showing us whats possible.:thumbsup:
