Cleaning clear gauge lens

My GTI is due for a cleaning of the clear lens over the gauges. Before I go at them I want to know if they are prone to scratching. Right now they are perfectly scratch free. So, how are others doing?

My MKIV R32 was terrible in that area. While my '95 M3 gauges are still very clear.

I use the finest, most expensive microfiber towel I could find to clean the gauge plastic. I do it without any cleaner, though I did clean once with a small dab of Stoners glass, with good results.

the lens is hard to clean IMO, it gets dirty easily if u tough it and hard to clean and very few things, i found that a micro fiber cloth w/ a little class cleater does the trick, also i put a little rain-x on it (wax can do) so it stays easier to clean later on....
