You can load MP3's onto a USB thumb drive and plug it into that USB port to play them. RTFM :thumbsup:

Oh that would be really nice to have. What would be required to run this. Would it be the same wiring as an ipod or something else. For that price, it should come with everything you need.

It's an 07 option for NA cars, 06's are getting screwed royally...
I heard rumors there was supposed to be a retro-fit option for the 06 cars as well as a factory bluetooth retrofit but who knows what's really true...?

We here in Belgium can choose one of this optional USB port or the optional iPod port under the center arm rest when purchasing a Golf or GTI with a radio or navigation unit from the factory.
