Basically some white spirit aka paint thinner leaked into my boot floor cover thinggy(don't ask how!). I've got a space saving spare wheel underneath, next to it on the metal floor of the boot theres some sort of black sound absorbant material (just 2 strips on either side of the spare wheel) at least that's what i think its for, well the paint thinner got through and completely fizzled it away on the left hand side, i had to scrape it out, it was all black gooey much like tar anyways i'm left with a few problems:
1. How do i remove the trimming/cloth on the left interror wall of the boot(I want to get behind it and clean it out before there's any more damage.
2. What was that black material the paint thinner ate through and how would i go about replacing it?
3. What's the best way of removing that god awful paint thinner stench?
4. And where and how much do i get a replacement for the boot floor cover from apart from VW?
