I've already seen plenty of German and Belgian members here, hopefully many more Europeans to come.

Please feel free to use this section to discuss anything regional related and to organize meets and shows

Cheers guys!

Thumbs up to the admins for the good work on this site!
Since 2003 I drive a grey MkIV TDI130 Tiptronic, with winter pack, sat-nav, CD changer and iPod connection. Bought new, 112000 kms and not one worry.

We have owned several VWs in the family: 1969 Beetle, 1974 Type2 bus, 1986 MkII GTI, 1988 Passat GT... We still keep around a 1990 MkII Country (my first car, now sold to my sister) and my father's spotless 1999 MkIV V6...

I have been undecided for a while between mkV R32 or GTI...
After driving few MKVs (1.6, 1.4 double compressor, GTI and R32), they seem to handle better but I am a bit disappointed by the interior build compared to my MkIV. Most things you can solve by personal mods (such as floor lights/markers in doors) but I kind of expect VWs to be complete as standard!
Nevertheless, I still dig the R32 a lot. I hope to afford the jump this winter.

There are few Italian sites dedicated to the Golf, check them out if you are interested
