WMA, or just MP3?

the majority of my music files are in .wma format (windows media audio). in my last car, with an aftermarket Panasonic head unit, i could burn both file types on a CD (data, not audio). in the MKv, it says "check CD" when i use a mixed file CD. does anyone else use .wma formatted music, or am i going to have to convert all files to mp3 before burning them onto a data CD?

I think you are going to have to convert them. I have three discs in right now with nothing but mp3 formatted files and all three discs work just fine.

Too bad too because WMA is better than MP3.

so you just load up a cd with mp3s and stick it in? tried that didn't work i must be doing something wrong

Do you have sat nav? I've heard people say the sat nav radio won't play mp3s. Also, try playing the mp3 CD on your PC and see if it works. Also make sure youre not burning DVDs.

I use NCH Software's "Switch". It even converts iTunes (m4a) to mp3. Haven't had a problem in the RNS
