First time ever at the track tonight.
Sorry no vids and my scanner is unavailable for the next few days.

Conditions:
60 degrees 76% humidity
calm winds
Near sea level elevation. It's Florida geez.

First run Left Lane
No burn out, In S mode, Failed launch control, 1/2 tank of gas, spare is in, poorly tuned maf controler, 100 oct file unadapted.

Second Run Right Lane
No burn out, decreased tire preasure to 26psi, In S mode, did not attempt launch control, gave it too much gas too soon, spun/slow launch, 1/2 tank of gas, spare is in, poorly tuned maf controler, 100 oct file unadapted.

Keep in mind I am on stock suspension. Look at a picture my wife took where the car is jumping so high in the front end! Amazing. :eyebulge:

Any tips to better the times besides let my ecu adapt and tune that water methanol maf controler?

BTW on the Second Run that Nissan Sentra GTI-R beat me by .38 seconds! He was running 7lb of boost. Looked stock too. He had a 60' of 2.285 and a quicker R/T. His 1/4 was 14.112 though.

Were you running 100 octane?

Nice #s, but if so that isn't really a good comparison to other slips as most people run 93 (or 91 out here)

no I was running 93 oct gas with water methanol injection. = 114 oct or something like that.

Good times. You only had a 2.4 60'? I used LC and was consitently getting 2.22-2.26 60' times a few weeks ago at OSW. But my fastest quarter was only 14.1 on 93 oct, no meth. If you used LC you might have gotten a tad quicker. Maybe not.

A nice 63 degrees at the track tonight. Only got one run in. Was worse then Wednesday night.

Getting better at the 60'. Got the LC down but need to ease off the throttle and prevent that wheel spin. I get to excited and floor it down the track! lol I must say this is not that bad of a time for street tires and stock suspension.

one time a few years ago there was this 76 on whittier blvd that had 100 octane or 10something i don't know if its still there.

Those are good times Lou. I really wish IL was warm so I can try and break into the 13's with my 6MT. My 60' times were right on par with yours before the tune, so I may do it. It's going to be harder though as once DSG is going, it's going.

Hey Corrado...do you run at Byron? I have a few buds who run out there every summer,and if I get my car in time, I may take a few cracks at it.

Or, if not, is there another good strip around the Chicagoland area where people run at?
