I recently got real big into scuba diving and I'm wondering if anyone else here scuba dives. I'm trying to figure out if the GTI will hold all my scuba gear in the rear hatch/trunk area.

Yes I dive, yes it should fit, but dont plan on bringing 5 people with you

Where do ya'll dive? So far its been all over Florida for me, as well as the usual bahama locations. I want to dive in mexico, and I just dove in Australia on a few places on the Great Barrier Reef a year ago... which was quite cool. :thumbsup:

The GBR was very cool, there was tons of diversity and colors (think finding nemo) but the visibility wasn't as good as some of the other locations I've visited. As a total package though, the GBR tops my list.
No problems hauling gear...
When I was in college I worked at a scuba shop and my 84 MkI made many, many trips to the lake....this new MkV has quite a bit more room. 2 divers and gear, no issues.
Reminds me....need to go to dive shop and get sticker for new car....
