Headlight Cluster

Hey this is a random question but do the inside headlights actually do anything? My DRL's are my Xenons my lights are my Xenons and my High beams are my Xenons. There are actually bulbs in there. Just for looks? I guess thay look cool....

they are the "flash to pass" lights.

They only flash when you pull the lever towards you if your headlights are off.

The only thing that happens when the lever is pulled back is the HID beam is brightened/aimed higher. The center light never comes on. i am really confused about what they have the middle lights for. maybe for a back up in case there is a problem with the HIDs?

turn your headlights OFF, leave your DRL on, now pull forward, flash to pass!

Nope; just HIDs - just checked. Maybe a difference between euro/canada/US spec? maybe something is wrong with my car. I'll consult the dealership.
