Hello to all fellow canadians,
I'm a long time reader in here
& this is my first post.

I jus wanna say I've enjoyed
all the posts in here, & that this
is a great & really helpful forum.

I would like to give a heads
up to all those who are waiting
on their car. I placed my order
on March 20th for a grey 2dr 6spd
w/ leather & eighteens.

I got a call this morning from
the dealer here in Calgary, telling
me that my car had left today
& is due in Halifax on june 24th.
He said that I can expect no later
than July 10th.

I hope this helps give all of
you that are waiting, an estimated
time of when you can expect yours.
I can't wait!:thumbup:

Its sounds like the GTI's a hard to get. Here on Vancouver Island they had 2, a red and a white. I took the white one, the red one is still there.
Why such the wait?

I've waited for a LONGLONG time too... My car is on the train now and will arrive at the port of Vancouver this coming Monday! Finally... I will be driving my car by the end of next week if everything is good!

Yes! I am feeling the pain... the last week, and i guess the night before will be a pain. I remember when i had to wait for 6 months for my MKIV Golf, the night before i couldn't sleep.

I'm waiting mine too, it should be here this week. It's a UG w/DSG. I ordered mine 8weeks ago.

Hopefully your car won't be delayed in Halifax. We bought a TDI Passat last year for my wife and it sat in Halifax for a Month... yes a MONTH! Our dealership could not get the any answers from VW of Canada either... so I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya mate.
