I test drove one recently and I must say it was not as impressive as I thought it wood be. Yeah its great, but not quite what I was expecting. But just looking at it makes me want to get one.
I am sure it will drive better than a GTI in unfavorable weather, but on beautiful summer days, it did not seem to be any faster or have exceptional handling compared to the GTI.
But that was only on a test drive where you really can't find out what it does!

its a v6, it sounds alright...

I wasn't laughing at your choice of capitalization. I was laughing at the fact that you said you prefer the sound of the STi and the R32 "sounds alright". Even Jeremy Clarkson and Tiff Needell who test drive Lamborghinis and Ferraris on a weekly basis can't get over the sound of the R32.

Both STI and R32 exhausts sound great stock. Open up the STIs exhaust though and it'll make children cry. I personally think the STI sounds awesome. Besides we all know the R32 is slow.
