Hi everyone, I have just managed to find this forum so thought I'd join. I have only ever owned VWs (04 Polo 1.4 S) and in December I upgraded to the new (56) Golf 1.6 FSI in 'steel gray'. It's an amazing car in my eyes, very sexy, and a massive step up from the Polo. I will probably do some slight modifications to it but nothing massive so feel free to donate your knowledgeable ideas to me!

I am surfing the world wide wan* for some presents for my 1.6FSI and I just found this http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/vw golfmk5/engine.html scroll down to the k&n filters.

Is this worth buying? and is it fittable with ease (bear in mind I have never modded anything ever), and would it make the car stupidly loud or will it still sound ok?

another thing, would this affect insurance
