2nd hand mkv gti prices?

just wondering does anyone know how much they go for 2nd hand, i remember reading somewhere that they are more exxy then new is that true?

Perhaps a couple of months back, when the wait time's quoted were getting out to 12-14 months you could sell it at a bit of a profit.

I think now days you might see a MkV with up to 15,000kms going for around the same price as a new one or $2-$3k less than retail. rarely over unless it's only got a couple of hundred kms on it...

All the 2nd hand GTi's I'd seen while researching were *more* than the retail price. That's due to availability though, so I'd be expecting the price to drop given the recent announcement on clearing the backlog.

i did a search on carsales and the cheapest was 50k with 15000k on the clock.

now that is way over, even a low option model with only dsg was 51k

yeah i know, we are thinking about selling it though, with the price of petrol and interest rates and a wedding to plan and a house to buy, its all too exxy these days.

i hope we can work a way around it so we dont have to sell it.

so anyone out penrith way with a high paying job, im willing to take it :lol:

I was thinking of selling mine as well.

I have the 05 GTI in Black with the Manual gearbox and a sunroof, and just on 12k on it.

The only reason I was thinking of selling it was so I could get the three door that is being premiered here at the Sydney motorshow, or even saving for a while to get the R32.

I have been told be people up here in Qld that I could get 40k for it easily.

I might keep my options open, but if anyone wants it, just send me a pm
