price being an issue for me...i may have to go for that 5-door black on black rabbit instead of the GTI...hope it doesnt come down to that coz i want more power!

it looks like it has the same seats as the GTI, except maybe in a different color anyone know?

i would guess that they are the normal cloth seats, just without the plaid. there is plenty of advertising for a GTI (or GLI) with plaid seats, i would assume that plaid fabirc is only available on the performance trim levels.

but i also feel the same way. the car looks pretty sick, and i bet you could make a beast out of that 2.5L engine with just a few minor mods. im sure it had quite a bit of potential. the styling is cool, the wheel gap is ofcourse the size of the grand canyon, but with a simple suspension setup, your gold. im quite pleased with the new management that has struck vw, their new approach to the market is going to do really well for them.
