When I went to the dealer today, I saw many of the GTI's having these two packages. First, I was wondering if I get the car without lojack, even though it is already installed. Second, why is the ipod package worth 600+ dollars? It even says, "IPOD not included." This package is worth more than the IPOD itself, and I do not even know what it does. Without these two packages, about $1000, it is within my affordability range. (I work a minimum wage job part time because I am still in high school. I plan to do a $5k down payment.)
If you go onto the VW site, I do not even see the IPOD and LoJack even being part of the packages.
Also, it seems like no one knows what this ipod package is. Is it just an adapter to plug you ipod into?
