OK, I have a Nikon D50 with standard lens and a tripod. But i can't get it to take pictures during night - when it's dark. I set it to apenture auto, but have no idea what to set the shutter speed to extra and this always seems to change when i change the other settings. It's getting ridiculous now - i should be able to take pictures already.
Any advise - n i've attempted to understand the manual.
Thanks
Conor

Set it to M not Auto Aperture. Set the Aperture to F8 or above and then look through the view finder at what you want to ake a picture of and watch the +______|______- bar at the bottom inside the viewfinder. Make it read into the middle and not side to side.

Go pick up a field guide for the D50 and a book on lighting then read.
