if so, what mods are you running?

the harmonic whistle on mine is too much to "just deal with" so if there is a set up that will eliminate this, i'd like to give it a try. FSI by the way. thanks

I've seen posts about the DV Relocation kit fixing it, but I've no experience with it.

I have also heard that about DV relocations...but never had experience...yet. Someone please chime in with a DV relocation so we will know for sure.

I thought the Neuspeed was the only intake with the harmonic whistle issue?

If the BSH whistles, what other intakes have this effect when the DV is in the stock location?

*I assume the whistle is the turbo spooling being amplified by the intake.

I have a DV relocate, using a Neuspeed front section and BSH rear. The elbow has a "short" MAF mount. I also run one of these in front of my MAF -

No whistle, no gurgle, no raking, good LTFT and mileage, no worries.

Does the sound come at partial throttle? If im at partial throttle and slowly letting off the gas in lower RPMs is when I can replicate a whsitle sound from my neuspeed.

Doc, where did you get that? I have a small winter project that will require this...

The whistle comes from the stock DV location when a filter on a stick intake is installed. Not everyone who installs these intakes will receive the sound...seems to be hit or miss no matter what intake is installed. If you want to rid yourself of that sound, block off the OEM DV location and relocate the DV (whether it be OEM or aftermarket) to the front of the car. My dBilas used to scream right through the midrange upon WOT, after installing the EJ DV relocation kit, the only noise you hear is air being sucked in and compressed...beautiful sounds.
