Brand new battery being drained

Got up this morning and had to jump start the car. This battery is only a week old but I think it has something to do with my rns 510 install or the dice i attached. I did a fault code search and came up with the following and after clearing them I fault coded the car again and got the same again.

I know the RCD510's had that battery drain issue but I thought the RNS510 would have been ok?

sounds like the canbus has an issue, the dice doesn't connect to the canbus does it?

what version gateway do you have and what firmware version in the RNS 510?

I have the latest firmware on rns510 but I think it has to do with the wire I swapped over for the CD changer. On the plug they are numbered 1 - 12 but number 2 wire on mine was black that I swapped and on your site it says green earth so I'll swap back and see how i go. Will post scan in the next hour

cd changer wiring

These are the wires in their original postion for the CD changer. The black wire is number 2 according to the numbering on plug.

I'll update that as it should say black sorry!

I've also updated the firmware page as currently it appears that the new firmware introduces the same problem the other third generation head units experienced and a new gateway is required.

Fortunately it's not too expensive and easy to fit and with you having VCDS it's easy to recode. Take some screen shots of the gateway installation list and long coding and it'll be a cinch to replace.

Upgrading 2nd generation radios (RCD 300, RCD 500) to 3rd generation (RCD 210, RCD 310, RNS 310, RCD 510) power drain issue

should i disconnect the satnav for now? Having trouble locating canbus on scoda site.

Uhmmmmm.... that looks like a really new one, looks like they stopped at around S and have gone back to AA. Doesn't appear to be a massive change from the S.

You have a HH10 and S0120 now. The S is a HH16 and S0210 whereas the AA is HH16 and SO222. It should work but it's very new so :iono:.

Do they still have a S revision listed?

You have a F revision and need L or above.

Having a look but thats the only gateway I can see on their site. Taken the 510 out for now. Surprisingly warm seeing as car hasn't been used for last 5 hrs and for some reason i't like to pop the hatch. I'll get there though

Still waiting for an email from skoda site but do you have a link or part number which can allow me to buy CAN bus gateway?
