Front Window Washers do not work

Hello Guys I have been facing this problem for the last week with my GTI. The front wiper blades work but the system does not spray water. I have been checking the fuses and all but could not find anything visible to be causing this. I though I would ask someone here for any ideas before I try to take some things apart to get to the reservoir where the pump should be located.

Does it sound like the pump is going? maybe check where the fluid shoots out of from under the hood to make sure they're not clogged.

i had this problem... do you use water or screenwash.. because if you take it to your dealership and they find out youve been using water then they`ll charge ya.. like me..

My Rabbit originally refused to spray also, but I just had to hold the lever back for 15 seconds or so to pump the cleaner all the way through the system. If it has not worked since you got it you may want to give that a try.

Yeah, it's not pumping correctly probably...

Hello guys thanks for your responses, but the problem was in a fuse. I was playing around with the fuse box looking for a switched live +12v when installing my Pioneer DEH- 9800BT- great stereo by the way especially the Bluetooth- and I misplaced a fuse, so the motor was not getting any electricity. I looked up the manual but what they had in there did not match anything in the fuse box. So I decided to take a half hour trip to the service, the guy there was nice enough to put in on the computer that immediately pointed out that a fuse was missing. Replaced it and it worked. Felt kind of stupid but if they had the right documentation in the car I would have been able spot it right away. At least they did not charge me for it.

If anyone has a fuse diagram for the GTI so we can have hand for cases like this it would be nice

where is fuse for sreenwash cheers

my mk5 golf screenwash has stopped working just hear clicking noise any ideas
