Wiper blades move a bit after turning off the ignition

Hi,

I have a 2009 manual rabbit. I have been having this problem since I got my car last September.

Sometimes when I turn off the ignition, I can notice my wiper blades move up a little bit. It was the noise from the glass that made me notice the problem. (I'll say that the blades move only a couple degree angles.)

Does anyone have the same problem as me?

It's not a big deal, but I am worrying that there might be some bad electric circuit of the wiper blades.

Thanks.

I beleive they move down when you start and move... an aerodynamic/ noise reducing thang!!!

It's actually a longevity "thang". Continually changing the angle at which the rubber sits on the glass (THEORETICALLY) is suppose to make them last longer. I say theoretically because they still seem to be a problem. Having the rubber sit on the glass in the same position all the time reduces the longevity of the wiper. They actually have a TON of different positions they change to, but we usually don't notice because the difference is so minute.

Some people solve this by cleaning them, but I think my problem may be the wiper arm itself because it's only on the drivers side.

there needs to be some kind of auto-search feature on the forum that doesn't allow you to post questions that already have threads about them.

frankly, i'm surprised you all were so nice about it. if i got to it first, i probably would have been an asshole either telling him to a) get towed to the dealer because it's the sign of a huge electrical problem, b) rtfm, or c) search the damn site.

People are too picky when it comes to searching. If everyone just searched and read old threads or brought up old threads, there would be almost no new threads or conversation.
