interesting.... very smart idea! that kickdown blows when your trying to hold rpms in turns on the track, and all the sudden it downshifts when you smash on it outa the turns....which creates a over rev situation.

This looks like a cool product but I am unsure how it works in m mode but not d/s?
Also, do you have any details on the fuel pressure gauge insert?

"M" Mode uses the KD Switch to tell the DSG to shift to the lowest gear possible. When in "D" or "S" Mode The engine ECU is in control and responds to throttle position to determine what gear you should be in for passing and so on. Therefore with the collar installed you get the advantage of up and DOWN shifting yourself while retaining the automatic drive characteristics of the car doing in for you.

The FPR device is in design stage, hoping to cut a few on the lath soon, but requires some precise drilling to allow for the pressure gauge to read correctly. Sty tuned.

you guys are seriously goddamn idiots! YOU CAN FLOOR the gas to WOT and it WILL NOT downshift - until you hit kickdown. you will get NO MORE "gas" if you floor past WOT, so just learn to use the fucking pedal.

god, people will waste their money on anything.

no, if you guys knew anything you'd realize that even before you get to that "kickdown area" the throttle is already maxed out. stopping the pedal front hitting this area wont do shit. its all electronically controlled.

Funny but not true. The kickdown delete collar removes the ability for the DSG ECU to kick down when you depress the button IN MANUAL MODE. In S and D mode with the collar installed the engine ECU takes over and downshifts for you. You are correct there - Watch the video posted above.

BTW, if you don't have an issue with it, don't worry about it. If you are an auto crosser and or someone who has had issue with it. This is a great way to solve it. Other ways include GIAC software with the Kickdown delete option and or HPAs DSG software.

oh god, i actually understand and agree with nintendodude
you can feel in the pedal when you are at WOT, and if you keep pressing it will downshift no matter what mode you are in (D, S, M)

well it seems like if you just want to mash on the pedal without having to hit the kickdown then someone should buy this....other than that it can be used as a penis ring :iono:

And WITH the Kick down delete collar it will no longer downshift in "M" mode. That's the point. LOL.

Its for those drivers who want to be able to go WOT and not worry about mistakenly depressing the switch/button.

A "monkey" might be able to use it as a penis ring. It's less than an inch in diameter. LOL.
