Your not hitting the hole straight. Its at an angle. Keep trying and you will get it in the hole. LOL Sorry, dirty mind. Also make sure you don't pull the bulb out when you get it into the hole. The bulb will drop out and land inside your headlight. Thats a whole set of new problems.

When you guys installed yours, did the ZiZa plug go in as far as the OE plug? Mine sticks out to nearly the turn signal plug. I'm wondering if the electrical tape I wrapped around the plug and bulb, to ensure it stayed put, is keeping the plug from being pressed all the way in. Is this normal?

Are you talking about the opening in the headlight housing or into the socket? If you're talking about the socket you just have to push really, really hard. It will go in. If you're talking about the opening, as Jutts said, it's at an angle. Keep trying and you'll get it.

I think the electrical tape is your issue. I didn't use electrical tape on mine and it went in fairly easily and I don't recall it sticking too far out; but then again I had the newer ones where they supposedly "improved" securing the bulb so I didn't use tape. The only thing I found was that the wiring had to be stuffed back in.

Thanks. I think I'll go pull the tape off of one and see how it fits. It seemed like the bulb was secure, but there have been so many nightmare stories I figured it couldn't hurt to play it safe.

Hehehe... I managed to shoot myself in the foot, by creating an issue while trying to avoid another. Nice!

Yep, it was the electrical tape. After I pulled it off, both plugs went right into the same position that the OE plugs were in.

Is anyone else underwhelmed by the brightness of these things? I wasn't expecting eye-searing light, but something that would at least be noticeable in the daytime would be nice.

yes they were QUITE dissapointing....i thought brighter, but I a going to order a different type of LED bulb and see if it will be brighter than the ZiZa, because sometimes they get washed out by the turn signals!!!

Glad it worked. Yeah, I was a bit disappointed, but they sure look good at night and during a cloudy day. And they're not as blue as in the pic.

The "city light" stays on continuously. So yes, it is constant. You'll recognize the "city light" as the dull pale-yellow glow from below the headlamps.

The ZiZa kit has an LED preinstalled in a bulb-socket, which has a length of wire with a resistor in-line, between the bulb-socket and the plug. The whole assembly plugs into the position that the factory bulb is currently in. The ZiZa LED/socket is inserted into the hole where the factory bulb/socket goes, then you insert the plug at the other end of the ZiZa assembly into the factory socket, where the factory bulb was.

The ZiZa will replace the dull pale-yellow light, with a white light. The amber turn-signal remains as it is.

The whole ZiZa assembly replaces the factory "city light" bulb.

Hope this helps...
