DIY Another Radar Detector Install
Tools needed:
10mm socket with ratchet
Soldering iron (optional)
1x repair wires (000 979 021)
Electrical tape
1x 10 amp Fuse

This is where I decided to mount the detector.
Step 1: Feed the wire next to the A pillar.
Step 2: Add fuse into fuse Panel.
To keep everything as clean as possible I opted to use repair wires inside the fuse panel. I added 2 new fuses, one switched and one constant.
I used this DIY for information on adding fuses to the stock fuse panel: http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62584.
I used the switched one for the detector:
New fuse:

Step 3: Attach positive wire.
The wires soldered together:
Step 4: Attach ground wire.
The ground wire soldered to the connector:
The ground wire attached to the grounding point. The nut is 10mm:
