Hey guys, now that there is a new can on the market I thought Id update the forums with a new part we are working on.

This is our race catch can prototype and is a vent to atmosphere setup. This can is based on a setup our sister company AFI uses on their 5-600 hp Hondas. This can will have two inlets, one from the head and one from the block. Its still in testing but we should be moving along a lot faster once we get settled into the new shop this weekend.

This is not an emissions compliant part and is totally race only. That said we make it very easy to go back to stock for visual inspection.

Post up questions! Happy to answer.

If you end up making a blockoff plate or something similiar to what you made for the FSI, but for the new TSI motors, can you make them available with -AN threads? I'd be down for a can and blockoff plate if I could run a nice braided line with AN fittings

TSI development is in full swing. We bought a couple OEM PCV components to tear apart to make sure we have the best part possible.

so there will be a new plate too?

but how does the ports on the side work if one is near the bottom and one is near the top?

The non recirc can will either get a one piece plate or a modified version of what we make now.

The lower port is used as a drain back into the oil pan for the Hondas and Evos. This port will not be present on the VW can as they collect way to much water and fuel to be introducing that into the oil system.

My big questions are:
1. Will this be available as a upgrade to existing stage 2 customers?
2. Internal wise, is this steel wool, or a baffled system?
Thank-you!

please make it a one piece plate... i'm not a huge fan of how my stage one setup is kind of sharing the gasket where the two pieces meet. can't be that much more cost can it? even if it is i think its justified by being a much cleaner looking piece, plus there'd be much less risk of cross threading during installation also.

any plans for a drain off the very bottom of the can?

also, any change to the rear pcv with this setup?

Please tell me you are going to use AN fittings, they are better in my mind as they can be flush and lot more options if you want to use different lines or fittings. Looks good cant wait to see more detailed pics and whole setup. Again good work Phil and the BSH crew!

This is a totally seperate product from our existing kit and only the manifold block off will transfer over. Next week we will be working on this part and I will post up more info then. Just wanted to give everyone to watch the forums this week ;)

So, I'm guessing then you'll sell a upgrade kit for those with stage 2 then?
