Images: Follower, Cam, Plunger at 10k Miles

Had some time this afternoon, so for kicks I checked the HPFP cam follower. GTI '07 with 10,000 miles. Cam surface looks fine (I also verified that I had the B-version intake cam). Follower still has the black, surface-treatment coating and the inside was not bad either. Plunger looked fine. I was surprised by the smallness of the opening on the bamboo fitting (fuel inlet), but gasoline does have low viscosity. [I've been using Mobil1 0W-40 ever since it came home from the dealer (30 miles).]

Check ur follower again in 5k miles.

It looks liek it already has some small knicks int eh coating ont he following and the inside of the follower already has the start of the "ring of wear" inside.

Ok im bringing this thread back to life.. iv been looking everywhere cant find a tutorial on replacing cam follower or checking it, anyone know where ones at"?
