That seems right about spot on; if you look at the front of the camo'd GTI, all of the features are almost identical.

Cheers

All models below the GT in the MKV have the solid bumper between the two grilles.

What sets the GT, GTI and R32 apart is the "deep-vee" shape of the grilles

Although it is half cosmetic me thinks they won't will revert back to that as per the renderings. Otherwise the car won't be distinguishable.

My $0.02

The deep V-shaped grille was VW's old design direction, under the old head of design at VW, Murat Günak. He was replaced by Walter de'Silva (the ex head of Audi design), in an effort by the new VW CEO (the ex CEO of Audi) Martin Wintekorn to move the brand's identity away from that of Audi. The grille (particularly in it's latest form, as seen in the IROC concept) was getting far too similar to Audi's single-frame grille. So Walter de'Silva has moved the front-end treatment to a much more plain, horizontal look as seen on the Scirocco and MKVI. That's exactly where we can expect the GTI's design direction to head in the future, hence the pictures above.

Cheers

Ready to race!
Always love those artists impressions, if only the real life car loked the same.
Somehow i dont think it will have the 20" rims with 30 series tyres on it or be sitting that low

Not likely candidates compared with the above vs the spy shots, but I'll keep dreaming.
