WTB: OEM Red Grill Stripe
Hey guys. Im looking to buy the red grill stripe from the upper grill on the GTI. I know a lot of people are taking this off so if you have one and dont want it I'd be glad to buy it off you, just let me know how much you want for it. Either post here, or drop me a line in my inbox.

oempl.us has em for 40 bux..its expensive cause its a peice that only comes with the grill it doesnt have its own part number

www.oempl.us only sells the whole front grill for 120$, I called dealers and they are more expensive, why do you need a stripe? broke yours taking it off?

I was going to try and take the red off but the Acetone wont even touch it, it looks like the red you see is actually an outer layer of plastic, not paint, so I cut away a little of the red on the inside of the stipe and the Acetone will eat up the plastic underneath but not the red outer plastic, therefore I dont think the black plastic underneath is something I want exposed to the elements. Heading to oempl.us now to see whats new. . . . . . .

Oh well, I got mine cleaned up and its like brand new again, I'd still like to buy someones for a spare, but until then I'll be trying to find a way to make this one black.
