How much do you pay for insurance?

Didn't really know where to post this, so I figured "general" was safe.

Just trying to figure out if I'm getting screwed on my insurance for my new GTI. I've got Allstate and they're asking for 1769 a year.

BI- 100/300
PD- 50
500 deductible

I'm 32 and good driving record. I do live in Phoenix which has the 2nd highest stolen car market in the country (# 1 goes to LA).

Just wondering what everybody else is paying?

Progressive in FL charges me $1610/yr with 100k,300k,50k and a 1k deductible. I just turned 29 and keep waiting for the rumored age drop I heard I would get at 25. Guess I need to get married...

I have All state here in NY and I am paying less than that for my A4. Not by much though. Your price does not seem to bad cuz the GTI I was going to pick up had an Insurance quote for almost the same.

$105/mo when was in rochester and now $220 here in jersey. Im also 27 with a squeaky clean record.

You have to call up and pressure them. tell them you got a lower quote elsewhere.

Im 31/married in georgia. 100k/300k/50k through Liberty Mutual.500 deductable. I pay 978/yr. I traded in a 06 nissan sentra for the GTI and actuallygot a reduction of 9 bucks/yr

Every time insurance comes up on any board, you find that no two people pay the same, even with similar driving records/ages. Hell, mine dropped $300/year on my old car just by me moving 100 miles. It all depends on the company and the location. Call up a few other companies to find out what they would charge you.

i live with my parents so we got me a GTI, and my parents have Audi Q7 and a BMW 325I! sometimes they switch driving there cars!

i remeber when i bought my GTI together for all three cars my dad pays almost 4 grand a year!

Edit: im 19 BTW
