It's good to have some CARBON FIBER in your diet...

In keeping with the ünpimptheauto theme, are these add-ons maybe a bit too much?

The front add-on is a Carbon Fiber (over fiberglass) lip. Looked great in person. I'll have to take off the stock plastic lip. They also showed the foglight cover replacements (replaces the honeycomb), washer jet covers and the front bumper cover (was an overlay, not replacement). Those little parts were DEFINITELY too much, IMHO.

The rear is also an add on piece. They had a dual-outlet version, for an ABT exhaust. Not really interested in that.

Then, it leaves the sides sorta stock. Wondering if the CF on the front/rear would be enough (or too much!)

I'll be ordering a sample of each to try, but maybe a little too much for our cars. Thoughts?

(Sorry, no pricing information)

The CF bump strip/xenon washer cover would look out of place on anything other than black...

I think it's probably a bit too much.

Just the centre grille part in CF and perhaps the splitter too would be pretty sweet.

I think the CF foglight cover replacements would look good on every colour of GTI.

If the samples fit on my GTI without sufficient modifications*, I'll update those interested in pricing and availability.

My intention is to start with the front lip add-on and rear bumper piece intially, and perhaps offer the foglight pieces later.

The comment of the show was the high price (and availability) of carbon fiber. In the last 18 months, it has tripled in price.

* Most of these shown at the show are prototype, handmade samples. Thus, they typically look really good, but are not true to production quality.

I was actually JUST considering getting the center grill part below the red stripe in CF but leave the badge chrome. I think it'll look good on my BMP.

The front lip is sweet too. But for the rear bumper insert you'd have to have the rest of the bumper painted otherwise it'd look weird as hell. But I guess it's sold as an entire bumper?

Rear bumper piece is a replacement for the factory one. No need to replace the entire rear bumper.

I can dig it! I want those side grille covers - my solid honeycomb has gotta go. The front lip looks mean but it'd be torn off in about 5 minutes on my car.

It's not a company anyone here in the US would recognize. If everything works out, I would represent the product here in the US as an independent brand.

No, no picture of this on a car yet. Once i get the samples, I'll be able to mount them and take photos.
