Sold my GTI 4 Mustang

Anyone know of a downpipe problem.
 I went to get a custom exhaust made today, and the guy that is making it says that he could replace everthing, except for the downpipe cause GTIs have a tendincy for the service light to go off if they change the downpipe. Is this true, or does the guy not know what he is talking about. I would appreciate anyone who can enlighten me

not sure but there are enough people that have replaced the downpipe with pipes from aftermarket manufactures with no problems

The DP has nothing to do with the CEL,....the O2 sensor is another subject though.
Find a different guy.

We just replaced my brothers DP with full system APR,
I have started to notice the motor getting louder when we went to replace the DP there was a GAP so be careful if you hear alot more motor noise get it checked it could just be floke on his but better be safe then sorry
