quick help please
do the mk5 golfs have just one reverse light? the right hand side doesnt work but when i called up they said thats how its meant to be.
can someone please confirm that im not being fobbed off. the car im referring to is the one in my description |

the mk 5 Golf has indeed only one reverse light and that's the one of the right side. The left light is the rear fog light. In the UK you can be mistaken that because there you have a white rear fog light

thanks for clarifying that. the problem ive got is that the bulb defector light on the rev counter comes on when i use the car. ive tried everything i can to get that back light to work but it doesnt. think im just gona take it to the dealer and ask.

the setup is different for the US GTI correct? (2 reverse lights)
in the pictures of the US gti the lenses look pretty clear, as opposed to red and amber.

I think american GTI's also have only 1 reverse light and a white rear fog light instead of the red rear fog light on the german GTI
