RCD-510 startup volume too loud

I searched the forums and couldn't find the answer for my dilemma...I've got an RCD-510 and the start up volume is set as low as it will go, but it still seems too loud for my tastes (ie, if I started the car with the radio on, the music would make me jump) so my question is, is there a setting in VAG-COM that will allow it to be set lower, or am I S.O.L.?

Just in case anyone was wondering or had the same problem, once I coded it correctly with Vagcom the volume dropped to a much more reasonable level upon turning the radio on.

Awesome! 3+ months later but no more jumping up on start up ;P

If you have Dynaudio and the radio isn't coded for it the volume is really loud.

Excuse me mate. Can you please tell me what I need to do with VCDS in order to fix this weird problem. I'm having the same issue as well now after installing an RCD510 into my girlfriend's MK5 GTI.

Bloody radio is like RA RA RA RA whenever I turn on the car.
It's driving me noots! *in Irish accent*
