Golf Mk5 Electric Folding Mirrors when Remote Locking

The SEAT leon has mirrors that fold on remote locking
The Golf Doesn't

The definitive answer on this that it is down to the Door controller.
I tried a SEAT Leon Controller in Nadlads Car today when I fitted Folding mirrors and the mirrors fold on remote and open when the ignition is turned on.

But before you go and buy the new door controller.. I had trouble with it

It wouldn't accept the coding for LED indicator and Ambient Puddle light
They did work when I did an output test

I have fitted a new door module and with some issues where it wouldn't accept the coding for the indicator or puddle light. I have managed to get the coding accepted and it works

Puddle light and indicator work as does the door warning light

Mirrors fold in by keeping the lock button pressed
So a normal press for locking will leave them out

Mirrors fold out on ignition or by the dial

So did you use a SEAT door control module again? What mirrors are you using for the power folding?

Yes, I used a SEAT door control module
Chnaged my car in the gateway to SEAT and played around with the coding to find out what worked. Then put it back to VW

Mirrors are the standard Mk5 Power fold with puddle light

I wish it wasn't so expensive to get all that stuff over here, I'd have done this mod already on my .:R wanted to for so long now!
