Any way to disable Rain Sensor?

Hey all, my 07 Jetta has auto wipers and they don't know whether they are coming or going, sometimes they work, sometimes they dont.

I am sure I saw somewhere that a relay can be changed to put them back to standard intermittent wipers, but for the life of me I cant find the right thing, and I would not know where to start. Does someone have this information for me?

I believe you can disable the function of the rain/light sensor with VAG-COM.
Tell the system you don't have one
by unchecking bit 6 in byte 0 of the Vehicle Electrical System Controller J519.
This should revert the control to the standard intermittent operation.
