i have 18x8.5 et43 with 225 and without rolling fenders and cutting liner i rubbed

Cheers Bazzle, yeah I can imagine the 225's will look a bit skinny on a 8.5 rim. And best of all the 235's are cheaper! Are you lowered at all Bazzle? I'm prety sure I'm going to rub badly due to lowered stance.

Also what brand tyre are you running? They are all different.

Not lowered but screw mod required.
R32 are already lower than other models in Oz.

Now have Michelin PS3's

Thought I would update this thread as I got my new Genntech's courtesy of Jason@Euro-Division http://golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=155098 and decided on Bridgestone Adrenalin Re-002 in 235/40R18's.

Just want to say what a perfect fit this wheel/tyre combo is. The bridgestones are a slimmer 235 so they dont rub but are bigger than my F1A2s' in 225 so make for a better fit on the 8.5's. Very happy indeed! Thanks for eveyones contribution! So I guess I'll look at selling my F1A2's now, only did 300km in them!

My 235/40/R18s on ET44 8.5 from memory.

Stock springs.

On roads where you're coming down a crest and back up sharply/aggresively, my front wheels rub very gently on the fenders. On very fast corners where your car is about to lose grip, it (front outer wheel) also rubs gently on the fenders.

Just a heads up if you didn't put in stiffer coils etc.

Ha it is sick as, yes! I plan to get the tail lights tinted at some stage... I got done for too dark tint on my Supra, had to remove and replace, so what's there stays :D

I got 235/40/18 in Kumo KU31s
