CLS63 vs. FX45 (lol)

Yea I know it's not an MKV story but what the hell. Some of you may have read the other thread I made about driving the new Merc CLS63 because my pops is ordering one so we got it to test for the day. Well over the wkend he got it again (from friday to monday) and I took it out on friday for 3 hrs or so, it was a silver one with black interior. So I went and picked up my buddy to show him the car and we headed out onto the highway. Anyway, I'm driving along at about 120km/h, trying not to push it too hard, just in short bursts, as I don't want to get another speeding ticket. Then suddenly I see this FX45 FLYINNNNGG up behind me, I mean he came out of nowhere and must have been doing 170-180km/h. So I'm like "wtf.. look at this FX coming" and I hammer the throttle to the floor just before he gets behind me. Then he switches lanes to try and pass, gets about half a car past me and then I reel him back in and just blow past him. To be able to shut down a car coming up that fast from behind is just amazing.So then I slow down and just let him pass, he doesn't even turn to look. After that every car on the hwy drove passed and were smiling and looking lol.

So it doesn't end there, I came to my exit and I see the same FX sitting at the light. It goes green and again he starts ripping it, I stay right behind him but don't pass. He ends up making the same right turn as me and rips it again so this time I just switch lanes and fly past him. I know an FX obviously wouldn't have a chance against a CLS63 but it was really fun anyway, and the FX45 isn't exactly 'slow' (14.5 quartermile) so it just shows how unbelivable the Merc really is. Either he knew what the CLS AMG is all about and just wanted to see it go or he was really truly surprised that he got eaten by a big Mercedes 4 door. I don't know of any car that I've driven that could have shut down the FX like that did, given its 60km/h head start from behind.

I get the same ruch on my zx12r. rolling along at 120-130, and then when i see some guy blowing past me in his porsche ,viper, at 180-190+ i just open her up a ride by while scratching my ass... lol But definately impressive none the less for a big 4 door....

ya know i hate mercs, but isnt this more of a 'driving a merc by a stopped car" more than a race? lol

I test drove the FX45 back when they came out and was VERY impressed with the speed for a truck.
