Anyone have a DIY for replacing the PCV Valve?

Whats good everybody

I got a bad PCV valve so I gotta replace it.

I purchased this one:

http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...tor/ES1843952/

It says that it "MUST BE used in conjunction with updated breather pipe (ES#7511)" Does anyone know if I'll be alright without using that updated breather pipe? I have a 2007.

Also, do I need to replace the gasket when replacing the PCV valve or is the one in there fine?

Thanks !

2007 might already have the updated pipe. I just had my PCV valve replaced under warranty and all they replaced was the gasket. Always use new gaskets, regardless of what you are replacing.

just an update, I replaced it without using the "updated" breather pipe and everything went on fine. I also replaced the gasket just in case... 30 dollars for a gasket.... fck.... but everything is good now.
