just bought these

24V HID Effect Parking Bulbs (Pair)

for my mk5 tdi rabbit can anyone tell me what the difference is between 24v and 12v? ...
12V is for most passenger cars, including all VWs.
Not sure what uses 24V - big rigs maybe? :iono:

and wow $14.64 USD is expensive for a pair of halogen incandescent bulbs with filter coating.
Those 12V incandescent bulbs will work well the controller, no issues with power draw.
But the filtering will make them dimmer than stock.
I tried similar bulbs in both 4,300°K ($2 ea) and 8,000°K ($2.50 ea)
Didn't keep them though. Did take a pics before swapping them.

stock incandescent bulb on passenger side, 4,300°K halogen incandescent on drivers side

This is what I am using now.

4,300°K halogen incandescent on passenger side, Blesk error cancelling LED on drivers side ($15/pair)

Been running these for about 50k miles now

thanks for the replys, so which bulbs do you suggest i get? and from where? the ones you suggest are a bit to expensive and are for a Gti im looking to fir them myself
im looking for some to match my main beam which are xenon bulbs not particulary strong but nice white colour, the ones in your pic look nice which i would prefer but ive got a standard golf rabbit so my parking/sidelights are not by the indicator they're on the inside of the full beam

bearing in mind that im from the uk and have a uk golf lol your driver side parking bulbs are the ones im looking for, what bulbs are they? would they fit in my golf?

Bump for what, opinions on the lights you got? Usually those blue tinted filament bulbs have very low light output and strange color.

I got a pair of CAN-proof T10/W5W LEDs from Ebay.de. They work fine and have 3 SMD leds, one large one pointing to the front and 2 smaller ones pointing to the sides.

OP, those LEDs might work or might not work. I had a pair of "Can safe" LEDs that I tried and they'd just go out with a few seconds of turning the ignition on. The ones I have now are from ebay.de and work great! A slight gamble on what you're gonna get.
