I see a lot of pictures for roof racks, but not much talk about hitch mounted racks. I thought I would share my new setup.
Curt Manufacturing 1 1/4" hitch
1up USA hitch rack
why didn't I get a roof rack?
1. I think it is ugly
2. worse gas mileage, lose a lot of mpg with a bike on, and even some when your not using it to carry bikes
3. takes long to install, need 2 people to make it quick
4. more difficult to mount bikes
5. noisy, makes lots of wind noise
my hitch rack mounts in 10 seconds
and can load the bike in 5 seconds
EDIT: more pictures
just the hitch
rack folded up in the trunk
rack in the tilted position to allow access to hatch
