well learned my lesson "Do not take your Anger on your VW"
so for those of you Here is a Small DIY
This document is for informational purposes only. Any vehicle modifications should be done by a certified VW mechanic. Neither the author nor this site will be held liable for actions taken resulting from the information set forth herein. :word:

1. Do not do this while Watching TV in the middle of your Sorround System cuz while doing this any Hissing Sound Will Spook the Krap Out of you.... By personal Experience.....
do not attempt this inmidiately after removing the Airbag from your vehicle... let it sit for at least 30 mins
-Inspect the Airbag

you gotta finish Braking the cover because you will need to push the airbag out...

- Remove 4 lugs holding the horn frame...

remove the horn frame.

remove the Airbag cable from the grounding frame and Remove the Frame.

Cut the pices holding the cover on the airbag box

remove the airbag Box

Extract the Airbag Carefully that you dont make a mess try to leave the airbag as it was inside the cover. Airbags are shrinked ina specific way in order to Deploy evenly.

and your Done with that... take a seat, look at your mess and Have a beer! :w00t::clap: :happyanim:
I will post the rest later. Stay Tuned!

Sorry for the Delay but we all must understand that i got a life and a Hot wife.. and a Dog....

First of all we Conglomerate all Items involved on this Suicide Mission!

Group the airbag toghether as tight as possible.

find this little guy. he goes on the top side of the airbag! and he will guide you thru putting the rest of the pieces of this Puzzle

Carefully insert the airbag. keeping everything toghether and evenly push the airbag inside the cover. Slowly Please No rush is necesary in this proces so if you put some pizza rolls or tostinos in the mocrowave.... they might need to wait!

all the way! make sure is aaaaallll the way in! (thats what she Said) LOL!!!

ok back to work...

Remember this lil guy

well the airbag harness only goes in One way so go ahead push it down all the Way. (i know what you're thingking) make sure all the bracket are completelly out thru the holes... COMPLETELY...

Than the Grounding Harness

the Horn Assy

ok for this part im gonna need you to put some man juice and elbow grease...
you should have 4 pieces of this lug nut... you will have to push the Horn ASSY down so you can tighten this ones. No need to tighten all the way... just secure them in place

Connect the Grounding Cables

and Finnally tighten the Screws

you need to leave a space in between the Grounding Bracket and the Horn Assy of two quartes toghether or you will find out when you put your airbag back on your car and connect the Battery and your horn just wont stop sounding off...
:word:

Do you have a "before" photo of the airbag cover / steering wheel after you hit it?

I'd love to see the damage you caused that forced you down this path in the first place.

Vielen Dank!

thanks for the diy...

but how did you get the airbag off the steering wheel in the first place.

you didn't show that.

Turn the steering wheel so that the top is facing left or right and there will be a slot you can feel with a clip in it. get a flat head screwdriver and unclip. Turn steering wheel other direction and remove the opposite clip.
