Oil leak at Turbo

Took my car into the dealership today because I noticed an oil leak at the place where the turbo meets the turbo discharge pipe. Obviously this concerned me.
As you can see from my signature, I have a catch can installed. Well the dealership is trying to blame the problem on that, which to me makes no sense. But then again, I am fairly new to modding my vehicle.
Besides going to a different dealership, any advice?

Make sure your recirculaiton plumbing is not plugged up. If it is plugged, your crankcase pressure will continue to rise creating large pressures in the turbo bearing hounsing of the turbo. This can create a pretty bad oil leak. Hope this helps.

i would try somewhere else. Try to find out if there is a mod friendly Steelership in your area. Once a dealer notices that you have altered anything they try to pull the "you void the warranty when you did that". Its how they make there money. They don't get paid as much when the Manufacture pays them to make a repair.

Good Luck to you though.

See that's one reason I chose the dealership that I did is because they are normally very mod friendly.

There are a few people I know including myself that have had leaks from that area thinking it was the turbo or oil line to the turbo ia had oil on diverter valve and axle and turbo it ended up being my cam seal the oil would get all over the place down there. As for the dealer go to a different one and put your stock stuff back on and tell them you noticed leak and have no idea what's wrong dealers don't share info there seperate data bases.

Take the Can back off and take it to a different dealer. If there is even the slightest chance they might have to replace the turbo they will fight tooth and nail to make you foot the bill.

Also have you wiped up the oil on the turbo and waited to see if the leak persists?

Thanks to all for the replies.
The can has only been on for a week, so I doubt there are any obstructions. Nonetheless, I'll look into that possibility.
The dealership is Classic VW in Escondido. So to answer another question, yes I am in SoCal.
Anyways, dealership removed the discharge pipe and cleaned the area somewhat. We'll see if it persists. If it does then I'll definitely be taking things off and going back to the dealership.
On a side note, the boost is normal. If the turbo was going bad then wouldn't I notice abnormalities in boost pressure?

Ya it's always best to go back to stock just in case it's something big they can't give no reason for them not to do it. Keep us posted
