OK thanks. Analyzed the differences and let me get this straight - can You open your hatch from the VW emblem? The coding would say otherwise, at least from where I'm standing. If so, I'll try it out and report the results :)

Edit: Tried it out, didn't work. Still no VW emblem reaction.

Correct,

I can open the hatch via emblem, fob, or door switch. All 3 options fully open the hatch

Gave it another try, this time followed the coding to every last bit. Got a lid lock actuator related fault code and the hatch didn't open in any way. Reverted back to stock.

I've read from uk-mkivs that Ross-Tech can lend a helping hand if I send them my full VCDS scan. I have a piece of their hardware but I'm not sure that qualifies me for such service, no?

I know with the new versions of Vag-Com, they simplified a lot of things, so you pick what you want to do from drop downs. I wonder if that's in there somewhere.

I am using vcds 8 I believe (havent updated in over a year). I know different versions show and do different things.

Also I am coded to UK (something everyone should do IMO) as it simplified a lot of mods I wanted to do.

I'll have a look at an older VCDS if I have the time.

At the moment front projector fogs, front door warning lights and double trunk light retrofits are the mods I'm doing :D

What do you mean? I can open my hatch via the emblem (regular old way), the key fob (new, hatch pops open automatically), or door switch. All 3 options fully open the hatch.

Also, I just realized it's been 2 years since I did this mod and it's still working perfectly. The hatch metal isn't distorted in any way and the Skoda gas springs still open the hatch fully (except in winter... this year we had -20° C and the gas springs didn't have enough power to open the hatch)

Is there something like this for the Jetta? I don't know if the stock parts are the same therefore letting us with the jetta use the same parts at the rabbit/gti.

I have a quick question with the Hatch Pop

How do i change the setting in VagCom to where when i open the Hatch with my Key Fob the hatch does not Lock when i close it????

This is the ONLY way someone can Lock their keys in the car, cuz if all the doors are locked and u pop the hatch with the key fob and u accidentally leave the keys in the hatch and u close the lid the car will Automatically lock the car again and u will be locked out!!!

Is there any way u can change the Setting in VagCom to where if the car is locked and u open and close the hatch the hatch will not lock, just in case ur keys are in the car still..????

Stylist, I don't think it can be changed with VCDS.

I have done this, locking my keys in the car this exact way. Please tell me there is a way to get it so it doesn't lock.

can you get these parts anywhere else besides ECS tuning? I tried my local dealer but they could only order P/N 1J6827439A.
