Cliffs: I broke the key in the lug... Than broke a tap in the key ( tap =titanium) ... used all drill bits, easy outs.. nada.. worked.. soooo

ouch..you actually needed to cut the spokes to take it out?

I did what they all said plus some... Here is was I tried.


*welded extention to lug* ( I could only do half of it because There wasnt any room to ge to the bottom, that broke)

*easy out* Didnt really work since drill bits are brass

The lug tool that they are talking about... yup... That didnt fit inside the hole because it was way to small. As you can tell in the 1st pic


Drilling may have work had the tap not been titanium.

what about welding a 3/4" bolt to to it and buzzing it off w/ an impact. ? i know you t said you couldnt weld it all but it shouldnt take thar much weld to take off 90 ft. lbs

and an air chisle works some thines too

We used a impack gun to try and take it off ... nada. When I took it to the shop to get the weld put on it kept snaping since they could only get half of it.

hahaha "so dont buy a vw."

All you had to do was weld a NUT onto the lug bolt. You weld the inside of the nut to the lug. Pretty retard proof.
