GTI owners in my area like huff so that none of them in market, unlike socal area:headbang:. I decide to convert my denver to huff within $30 budget. actually I call it HUFF mini since it is still 17". here we go.

convert one wheel cost me 4 hour, there is one wheel not converted but good for compare.

this side, both are painted.

CLOSE look. I should paint inner to black as well but it will get dirty soon and become black itself. I didnot paint five nuts holes into black to make it dfferent from MKVI huff. I have no skill to make surface shinning metal like true HUFF.

here is rolling video compare. LOOKS MUCH BEETTER THAN FACTORY DENVER

paint whole wheel is easy. but paint partially is a little bit harder. masking curve is painful

SAND

MASK

green tape is more expensive than blue because it can follow curve easier. you see I cut green to make it bend easier. then I use blue to cover the green's cutting. green's edge is doing the job

after paint. wish paint are durable. use black spray can for black color, last is the clear spray for glossing.

I call them 5 toilet lid in meeting:thumbup:

first time I close look at my denver, ,One of them is a defect one, rough surface and incompleted detail. WTF VW!

here it is. sorry too dark in garage. (a little curb rash shows black at 11 oclock) .because I use line to follow curve, they are not 100% curve, but even close look, u wont notice it. and if masking tape is not firmed pressed, paint can escape into and make no smooth line.

this one has no curb rash.

any close ups?
